Ukraine National Tournament the Donbass Open Cup 2007(2007.05.25)

On May 25, Ukraine National Tournament the Donbass Open Cup was held by branch chief Sergey Lukyanchikov-Levitin in Donetsk where was the southeast in Ukraine. 60 general men and women or more participated from 12 area of Ukraine by weight system. The preliminary contest was held in the morning. An opening ceremony was held from the noon and the tournament started from Tameshiwari by qualifiers. The day was very hot, so it was hot though the gym turned on air conditioner. In last year’ world cup (Sydney), Ukraine player were active, so I paid attention them. Ukraine was vast country. It took 12 hours from the airport to Kiev in the capital by train, and also it took 12 hours from Kiev to Uzghrod where was branch chief Nikolay Zhylin. The player participated from various area around Donetsk. In recent trend, the player since 30 years old participated in tournament, but there were lots of young players in Ukraine. We didn’t despise player of lower obi for example, yellow and green. The match was high level. I though many players who are active in an international match will appear from now on.

In the day, I had coverage from some TV stations. For good-bye party, the appearance of the match was introduced on news in television of restaurant. Also, the appearance of the match, the representative's visit, and seminar were televised all over the land on June 2. It was news very glad. After tournament, I held a seminar on the 26th and the 27th, and held a promotion judgment on the 28th in dojo of Chief Sergey. It was every day on which the temperature rises above 30 degrees despite of the end of May. We gave up using top floor of gym because top floor didn’t work air-conditioner. It was dry so it was different of Japan. The down of the poplar fluttered in the town like the snow at the midsummer.
