On the past 4th till 9th of august IKO Matsushima's 3rd Annual European Summer Training Camp was held in Kiskunfegyhaza, Hungary under the direction of Oyama Karate Kyokushin Hungary and EKO Matsushima.
Monday 120 participants showed up to this year's European peak event. Budokas from Israel, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine took part alongside with Hungary. The camp was lead by EKO's Technical Director; Shihan JU`zsef Borza and EKO President; Shihan Klaus Rex with the kind assistance of Shihan Brandon Denito from Sweden.
The training started every day at 6am with outdoor stamina exercise. The second training was held at 10am in an excellent sports hall only a 2 minutes walk from the accommodations and in this congregation technical training was given in groups according to the grades. The 3rd training session was held at 4pm in the same venue and the instruction consisted in 1 hour of Kumite Waza and an hour of Jiy° Kumite. And the 4th daily training session was held at 12 o'clock midnight and consisted mainly of outdoor running training.
A swimming pool with thermal hot water helped the participants to recover between the trainings.
On Friday the examinations started at 9am with coloured and black belts until San-dan. After the examination everybody got a camp certificate and on the same day in the evening a Sayonara party was held given everybody the opportunity to get together after 5 days of intensive training. And a spirit price was handed out to the Budoka who had shown the best spirit throughout the camp.
Next Years European Summer Training Camp will be held in Berlin. |
