November 14, 2009; Branch Chief Tommaso Nicolleti and Dojo Operator Sumuele Castro, held the sixth open Kyokushin Karate Championship's from Italy. There were many attendee's such as Australia, Canada, Russia, Chile, Kuwait, and Lebanon. It was a large tournament with a total of 90 fighters. In the morning there was a preliminary round, followed up by another round with Russia and Hungary. The Russian team has grown dramatically and has the potential to place in the tournament right away. There was an Italian fighter that received an admirable applause, because he placed 2nd amongst the dominant Russian fighter's.
