　The 2009 Matsushima Canadian Championships was also remarkable for the largest number of competitors from the most varied list of dojos in the history of our tournament.  We hosted some 280 junior competitors and 28 knockdown fighters from 26 different dojos.  Even more remarkable was the fact that many of the dojos were from different Kyokushin karate organizations than our own and were attending the MCC for the very first time.
