McDerby, Nicole 2nd dan (Australia) vs. Dvies, Penita 3rd dan (New Zealand)

It started with a Chui Ichi for McDerby with a face punch from the beginning. With an Uchimata Geri (inside low kick) and many Tsuki from a lower angle was performed by Dvies and all McDerby could do was try to try to stand still. The winner was Dvies by 5-0.

Komol, Tamara 1st kyu (Ukraine) vs. Booi, Tamara 1st kyu (South Africa)

Both fighters did not look like they were in the heavy weight category but they were very quick.
Booi attacked with Shitazuki and Komol utilized right-left gedan geri (low kick) against Booi with mawakomi defense with sabaki. Jodangeri were also effective in this fight. Komol utilized Tsuki and Hidari uchimawashi to stop her opponents move and was the winner by 3-0.

3RD PLACE DECISION MATCH

McDerby, Nicole 2 dan (Australia) vs. Booi, Tamara 1st kyu (South Africa)

Booi, who moved in a forward straight with Shitazuki and a very tall Mcderby threw the technique of Ushiro mawashigeri was unsuccesssful. A Tsuki and Gedangeri by McDerby, did not make it either.
A 0-0 score for main match which led to the extended match. In the extended match, there was no big advantage for both, so at the end a 3-0 for Booi and she placed 3rd.

FINAL

Dvies, Penita 3rd dan (New Zealand) vs. Komol, Tamara 1st kyu (Ukraine)

Dvies was in 3rd place in Heavy Weight Division during the last time. The style of her Karate was using her physique as an advantage to give pressure to the opponent. Komol initiated to be closer with Mawashi tuki and Furi oroshi migi seiken tuki. At the same time, Dvies threw a strong return technique precisely against her opponent to move forward. Komol tried to return the technique however, having to receive Gedangeri from Dvies, she received some damage. She got more Tsuki with pressure. A 3-0 for Davies gave her a 1st place in the Heavy Weight Division. The New Zealand team showed the audiences their dancing to get applause.
